Bio: Professor Naknoi’s research fields are international macroeconomics and monetary economics. Her current research topics are exchange rate fluctuations, international capital flows, and the military’s firms in Thailand. She has published research articles in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and the American Economic Review P&P. She has been a Research Associate at the Center for International Price Research at Vanderbilt University. She taught at Purdue University and held a visiting position at Hitotsubashi University, the University of Tokyo, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the International Monetary Fund, and the Asian Development Bank Institute. She is a member of the American Economic Association, the Society for Economic Dynamics, and the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
